The accommodation package begins with dinner and after dinner a lecture about deer in rut and bears, Veľká Fatra, nature in Fatra, fauna and flora in general.
The priority topic is deer rut.

We will show you the signs of residence, prevention when moving in nature during the rut and protection against bears directly in the field. Search for deer and bear tracks, observation. - In the field we will learn:
– The difference between a commercial forest and a virgin forest
– Know the signs of deer and brown bears
– A demonstration of bear spray and which one is the best
– Rumors about bears and what is the truth about their overpopulation
– What is a bear tree?
– What should I do if I encounter a bear in heat or a bear? Run, scream, lie down?
– Looking for deer/bear tracks and if we are lucky, even observing them.

- Clothing for the excursion: In the mountains, the weather can surprise at any time – whether it’s cold or a local storm, it’s common. We recommend wearing clothes appropriate to the time of year and the weather, and also packing gloves, a hat, functional clothing and a warmer jacket – it will come in handy if you’re observing animals for a longer period of time. High hiking boots and a raincoat or waterproof jacket are a must.
