SMREKOVICA MOUNTAIN LODGE
is located on the edge of the Skalná Alpa nature reservation below the peak of the same name in Velká Fatra.
ACCOMMODATION ALL YEAR ROUND
Access to the lodge is by own vehicle from the state road Banská Bystrica – Ružomberok. The turnoff is 10 km from Ružomberok in the settlement of Podsuchá, from there 8 km to the lodge. Smrekovica offers accommodation in two and three-bed rooms (with the possibility of an extra bed), and in three apartments with a total capacity of 62 beds. Each room has its own bathroom.
Smrekovica offers year-round accommodation, recreation, ski training, school trips, outdoor schools, themed stays, corporate events and reconditioning stays.
The lodge is an ideal place for sports enthusiasts (hiking, mountain biking, ski mountaineering, downhill and cross-country skiing) and for lovers of mountain nature.
Restaurant
There is also a restaurant in the Smrekovica lodge. It serves both the guests and other visitors of Veľká Fatra.
The capacity is 60 seats and in the summer months, we also operate an outdoor garden with a view of the wide surroundings.
For guests we offer breakfast included in the price of accommodation with the option of full board or half board.
In addition to ready meals, our guests can also choose from a menu.
ACTIVE HOLIDAY
The surroundings and general location of the Smrekovica mountain lodge directly encourage a variety of activities throughout the year. In the summer months, they are especially popular mountain hikes along the adjacent reservations and attractions such as Skalná Alpa, Jánošíkova koľkáreň, lake Blatné, Kundráčka, Rumbáre, Matejkovský kamenný prúd. It is also possible to plan many interesting routes on mountain bikes.
In the winter months, skiers, cross-country skiers, adventurers on ski-touring or snowshoes will come to their senses. There is also an ice tower right next to the lodge, where you can try climbing with crampons and ice axes.
Throughout the year, we prepare events for you that will enrich your stay at our lodge:).
SPORTS EQUIPMENT RENTAL
You can rent sports equipment directly at the lodge to make your stay more enjoyable (eBike, ski alps, cross-country skis, skis, ice climbing sets, snowshoes, etc.).
